The town of Ilfracombe has grown up around a charming natural harbour were you can still take fishing trips and the M.S. Oldenburg has regular sailing to Lundy Island which is 11 miles of the coastline. Or you could sit in one of the many cafes, bars or restaurants and watch the boats going in and out of the harbour.

It has been a popular seaside resort since 1830 when the Victorians started visiting this area. Amongst its many beaches you will find the unique Tunneled beaches which are accessible from Ilfracombe where you go through tunnels that had been quarried beneath the cliffs. The beaches have achieved both Blue Flag and Seaside awards, this provides safe bathing they also have many rock pools that children will love to explore. This is very close to from the apartments. 

The surrounding area of outstanding natural beauty were Ilfracombe nest snugly amongst the rugged cliffs with views over the Atlantic coast. Walkers will enjoy the picturesque national trust cliff top Torrs walk which goes from Ilfracombe towards Lee bay and Woolacombe. Also the Tarka Trail were there are 180 miles of walking route's that follow the footsteps of Henry Williamson "Tarka the Otter". From the tourist information centres you can pick up details of self-guided walks.
